Frequently Asked Questions
Are dogs allowed at the Street Fair?
Yes, if well behaved and kept on a lead. It is the owner’s responsibility to clear up any mess made by their dog(s).
If the weather is wet, will the Street Fair go ahead?
The only reason the Street Fair would be cancelled would be because the Police have advised us to do so due to the impact of the weather on the highway. We have not had to cancel one yet since 1973.
What time does the event start?
Gates open at 10 a.m. and the Fair ends at 5 p.m. We would advise that you allow at least 3 hours to get the full benefit of what the Fair has to offer.
What about Safety and First Aid?
An ambulance and paramedic team will be stationed at the top and bottom of the Fair. The Police maintain a low key presence at the Fair. A full risk analysis is conducted prior to the beginning of each Fair by the organisers.
What parking facilities are there?
We have adequate, steward managed car parking and it is free.
Can I re-enter the Fair?
Yes, re-entry is permitted using your entry wristband.
What other costs are there after admission?
Only whatever you decide to buy from the vendors. The comprehensive programme of entertainment, demonstrations and exhibitions are free for all to enjoy. Please see the ‘What’s on’ link above for more information.
What toilet facilities will there be?
Portable toilets will be stationed throughout The Street.
Is the Street Fair suitable for disabled visitors?
The Street Fair is located on a hilly street which is particularly steep at the very top. We recommend disabled visitors (particularly wheelchair users) to enter from the South side (Milborne St Andrew) and for car drivers to unload disabled passengers as near to the lower entrance as the Police will allow. The car then be turned around and parked in one of the car parks available on the day.
How do I find out about being an exhibitor/stallholder at the Street Fair?
Please see the Stallholders section of this website.
Can I purchase tickets in advance?
Yes! Please visit our Eventbrite page for advance tickets.
How much do tickets cost?
Adults: £7
Child (11-15): £3
Family (2 Adults and up to 2 children 11-15): £17
As you are a registered charity, can I gift aid any donations?
Yes, if you are a UK tax payer you can complete a Gift Aid declaration at the entrance and we would be very grateful for all the extra funding that provides income for some really great charities that we support.
What charities does the Street Fair support?
A list of local charities and organisations will be displayed at each entrance to the Fair and on this website.
When is the Street Fair?
Saturday 26th July 2025.
Are there cash machines in the village?
The Post Office will be able to provide cash withdrawal services.
Are coach parties welcome?
We can only accept coach parties by prior arrangement in advance with MASFSecretary23@gmail.com.
Should I attend if I am not feeling well?
If you are feeling unwell we recommend you stay at home and put your feet up and a cuppa.
